A 55-square-meter designer apartment for 6 people on Wałowa Street in Gdańsk’s Śródmieście district. Two bedrooms, a living room with a pink velour sofa, a navy blue kitchen, and a lounge area between the rooms. Walk-in shower, an 8-minute walk to the Imperial Shipyard and the ECS.
RETRO is dominated by pop-art accents, brass details, and classic herringbone flooring—an interior with character, a far cry from the neutral white of a typical rental. The navy blue kitchen flows seamlessly into the dining room and living room, which features a pink velour sofa. Between the living room and one of the bedrooms is a lounge area with wicker chairs—an extra nook for morning coffee or evening reading.
A small nook with a desk will come in handy for a longer stay while working remotely. The bathroom features a walk-in shower with a rain showerhead and marble tiles. The kitchen is fully equipped with a built-in oven and a dishwasher.
RETRO is located on Wałowa Street in Gdańsk’s Śródmieście district, in the former shipyard area of the city—on the fourth floor of a building with an elevator. It’s a three-minute walk to the Montownia food hall and an eight-minute walk to the Imperial Shipyard and the European Solidarity Center. The B90 and 100cznia clubs are about twelve minutes north. Główne Miasto and Długi Targ are an 18–20-minute walk away. Buses from Wałowa go directly to Gdańsk Główny Station, from where the SKM reaches the center of Sopot in 15 minutes and the center of Gdynia in half an hour.
RETRO is perfect for couples and families looking for an apartment with character rather than plain white walls. It’s also ideal for a longer business stay for two, when a great interior is more important than a balcony. The apartment is pet-friendly—you can bring your dog (for an additional fee).

Mieszkanie jak najbardziej w porządku i zgodne z opisem. Dużym plusem jest lokalizacja – blisko Starego Miasta, a sklepy spożywcze znajdują się praktycznie po drugiej stronie ulicy. Nie mieliśmy również problemu z zaparkowaniem kilku samochodów, korzystając z pobliskich płatnych parkingów.
Niestety trafiliśmy na bardzo ciepły okres, z temperaturami powyżej 30°C, a brak klimatyzacji był wtedy odczuwalny. Wieczorem dodatkowym problemem była ogromna ilość komarów, przez co nie mogliśmy otworzyć okien i przewietrzyć mieszkania.
Poza tym pobyt oceniamy pozytywnie – mieszkanie było zadbane, funkcjonalne i zgodne z ofertą.

It’s an 18–20-minute walk along Aksamitna and Wałowa Streets. Closer by are the Imperial Shipyard and the European Solidarity Center (8 minutes) and the Montownia food hall (3 minutes).
There is no parking in the building. You can park on the street in the area, subject to availability (metered parking). The Gdańsk Stocznia SKM station is a 15-minute walk away.
