· 5 min czytania

Are you looking for a location for an outdoor photo shoot in Gdańsk?

Gdańsk is a charming city, rich in history and architecture, with a unique atmosphere. As you stroll through the streets of this extraordinary city, it’s impossible to resist the urge to capture its beauty in a photograph. But where can you find the best spots to take truly unique photos in Gdańsk? Here are a few suggestions that will hit the mark.

Business Sessions

If you’re planning an outdoor business photo shoot, glass buildings—whose industrial style has been extremely trendy for several years now—make for a perfect backdrop. Brick walls, white plaster, and greenery—which are often found near office buildings—also make for a good backdrop for a casual business photo shoot.

This solution makes it easy to quickly schedule a photo shoot—the location is generally accessible: OBC, the area around Alchemia. The only limitation might be the weather. There’s a solution to this problem as well, especially if time is of the essence—these locations have main lobbies that are open to the public.

For several years now, I’ve been observing on LinkedIn how “resume” photos have moved away from white backgrounds and “ID-style” shots. During an outdoor photo shoot, you feel more at ease, and that shows in the photo, making it more appealing to the viewer. It catches the eye more quickly when people are browsing profiles. You can also use this photo in a traditional resume, on Teams, and on social media platforms, if needed.

Family photo shoot, photo shoot with children

Where should you go to make sure your photo shoot is a success? Regan Park, Oliwa Park, the beach, the zoo, the Valley of the Elves, or the green spaces that still remain in Gdańsk—and what’s more, in April you’ll find fruit trees there blooming in white or pink.

The beach in Brzeźno and the pier

If you love taking photos by the sea, be sure to visit the Brzeźno Pier. This spot offers unforgettable views of the sea, the beach, and sunsets. Especially in the evening, when the sun paints the sky in various shades, you can take some truly magical photos here.

Oliwa Park

If you’re looking for a quieter spot to take photos, I recommend visiting Oliwa Park. It’s a green oasis in the heart of the city, full of ponds, walking paths, and exotic plants. It’s the perfect place for nature photography and portrait sessions. Another interesting spot is the recently opened Palm House. Plus, this location works great as a backdrop for romantic photo shoots.

Westerplatte

For history buffs, Westerplatte is an incredibly interesting place. This is where World War II began, making it not only historically significant but also a great spot for photography and walking. The site features ruins and remnants of defensive fortifications, and the entire area is surrounded by picturesque natural scenery.

Yes, the location is important, but what matters most is the parents’ attitude during the session. Some children enjoy posing for photos and are happy to cooperate with the camera. For most kids, however, having fun is the priority, and it’s important to remember that—the photo shoot is the parent’s idea. To get beautiful photos and ensure the session is remembered as a pleasant, stress-free experience, it’s worth joining in the fun—showcase your bond. An interesting way to liven up the session is to blow soap bubbles, play with a ball or a kite, or draw on the sidewalk with colored chalk—depending on the kids’ ages and preferences.

A romantic photo shoot, a photo shoot for couples in love

Once again, I feel like writing: it doesn’t matter where—what matters is showing what kind of relationship you have. But that’s not what this article is about, is it?

The Sea

The beach is always a good idea—it offers plenty of freedom. Any time of year. A romantic photo shoot on the beach is the perfect way to capture moments of love and create beautiful memories. The beaches in Brzeźno, Jelitkowo, or Stogi offer plenty of photo opportunities. Use the sand, the sea, or the pier as a backdrop for your photos. Take photos while strolling along the shore, sitting on a blanket, or cuddling up together against the backdrop of the sunset.

Main Street and Old Town

The Motława, a river flowing through Gdańsk, offers romantic views of historic townhouses, bridges, and ships. Near the Żuraw, a historic port crane, you can take beautiful photos while admiring the city’s skyline reflected in the water.

The beautiful interiors and the staff’s willingness to accommodate such a photo shoot—and what’s more, from the terrace you can admire a unique view of the entire Tri-City. In addition to the incredible view, visitors can enjoy a delicious culinary selection, intimate concerts, and other cultural attractions.

Apartment in Gdańsk’s Old Town

Renting an apartment for the duration of the photo shoot will allow us to make use of its interiors and capture you in staged everyday situations that might actually look different in real life. These aren’t staged shots—they’re shots of how we’d like to see ourselves. So why not treat yourselves to a date like this, with the final result being these photos?

You can also take advantage of the “Na Dywanie” project—which can set up a romantic scene at a prearranged location.

Portrait Sessions

Do you need a photo that shows you at your best? A headshot session is just what you need. We can choose a location that matches your personality and how you want to be seen.

photos, photography, Gdańsk, shipyard

Just as mentioned above—it could be a romantic outdoor setting or the shipyard grounds, which provide an interesting backdrop for photo shoots for both women and men. A large part of the post-shipyard areas around Elektryków Street is open to the public and offers a post-industrial backdrop featuring cranes, which are undeniably associated with Gdańsk.

I hope you’ll really like these few suggestions. The ONEGOG photo studio at Żabi Kruk 14 is a place that offers a wide range of possibilities for studio photo shoots, where you can have any kind of photo session done.
