Things to Do with Kids in the Tri-City (What to Do in Gdańsk, Gdynia, or Sopot?)
Are you coming to Gdańsk on vacation with your kids and wondering how to plan your time so they don’t get bored? Great! We have a few suggestions for you on how to make the most of your vacation.
Attractions in Gdańsk
The Oliwa Zoo in Gdańsk
The zoo is a great place for both young and older children. The Gdańsk Zoo is the largest in Poland in terms of area. It is home to over 150 species of animals, with a total population of more than 770 individuals. You can admire elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, llamas, camels, lions, cheetahs, chimpanzees, and a wide variety of birds and reptiles. It’s worth setting aside 4 to 6 hours for your visit. There are places to buy food and drinks on site, so you don’t have to worry about bringing your own.
Hevelianum Gdańsk
Hevelianum is a multimedia educational center located in a 19th-century fort in Gdańsk —on Góra Gradowa (which also offers a magnificent panoramic view of the city). It is a place where visitors can engage with science and history. Attractions for children include the Creative Playground, the Imagination Workshop, and activities led by educators. The center has several sections: “Around the World,” “Fun with History,” “Full of Energy,” and “Puzzles.” Every child will find something to enjoy here. Fun is guaranteed!
JumpCity Gdańsk
If your kids are walking bundles of energy, we recommend JumpCity Trampoline Park. They’ll definitely burn off all that energy on the trampolines and have a great time. The instructors ensure the safety of everyone using the trampolines.
Loopy’sWorld Playroom in Gdańsk
Loopy’sWorld is the largest play center in the Tri-City. There you’ll find slides, tunnels, play fields, obstacle courses, a mini climbing wall, cannons, trampolines, a 3-meter-tall ball, a separate area for children ages 1–3, as well as go-karts and an electric train (both of these attractions require an additional fee). During breaks between play sessions, you can visit the restaurant.
Gdańsk Parrot House
At the bird sanctuary, we can not only see exotic bird species, but we can also pet them and even feed them. The birds are tame; they often perch on visitors’ shoulders or heads.
Attractions in Sopot
Sopot Water Park
On hot days, a visit to the Sopot Aquapark is the perfect solution . It features several hundred meters of pools, a toddler area, wading pools for children, slides, and both shallow and deep pools. The biggest attraction—though intended for older children—is the wild river ride.

Attractions in Gdynia
Experiment Science Center, Gdynia
It’s best to set aside a whole day for a visit to the Eksperyment Science Center in Gdynia. The main exhibition consists of several thematic sections, and each section offers different puzzles, activities, and entertainment. We can dig up a dinosaur, learn interesting facts about the animal and plant worlds, discover something new about physical phenomena, and even try out a car driving simulator. There are plenty of attractions—there’s no room for boredom.

Gdynia Aquarium
During our visit to the Gdynia Marine Aquarium, we’ll have the opportunity to see exotic fish and marine mammals from many parts of the world —including the Baltic Sea, Africa, and North America. Among the rarest specimens are the freshwater stingray, the bottom-dwelling shark, and the giant octopus. Children may also be interested in the world’s longest snake—the green anaconda—and the world’s smallest crocodile, the short-snouted crocodile.
