Are you coming with your children on holiday to Gdańsk (apartments) and wondering how to plan your time so that they don’t get bored? Great! We have a few suggestions for you on how to spend your holiday in an interesting way.
What to do in Gdańsk?
ZOO in Oliwa in Gdańsk
The zoo is a great place for both the youngest and older children. The Gdańsk zoo is the largest in Poland in terms of area. There are over 150 species of animals, and the total number of individuals is over 770. We can admire elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, llamas, camels, lions, cheetahs, chimpanzees and many species of birds and reptiles. It is worth spending 4 to 6 hours for the visit. There are places with food and drinks located on site, so we don’t have to worry about bringing food with us.
Hevelianum Gdańsk
Hevelianum is a multimedia educational center located in a 19th-century fort in Gdańsk – on Góra Gradowa (there is also a great view of the city panorama from this place). It is a place that allows you to meet science and history. Among the attractions for children there is a Creative Playground, an Imagination Workshop, as well as classes conducted by educators. The center has several sections “Around the world”, “Fun with history”, “With energy”, “Puzzle”. Every child will find something for themselves here. Fun guaranteed!
JUMPCITY GDAŃSK
If our children are walking volcanoes of energy, we recommend the JumpCity trampoline park. On the trampolines, they will definitely get all their energy out and have a great time. Trainers care about the safety of all users of trampolines.
Playroom Loopy’s World Gdańsk
Loopy’s World is the largest playroom in the Tri-City. There we will find slides, tunnels, playgrounds, obstacle courses, a mini climbing wall, cannons, trampolines, a 3-meter ball, a separate area for children aged 1-3, as well as go-karts and an electric train (both of these attractions are payable). In the break between games, you can eat in the restaurant.
Parrot House Gdańsk
In the parrot house, we can not only watch exotic species of birds, but we can also stroke and even feed them. Birds are tame, very often they sit on guests’ shoulders or on their heads.
Attraction Sopot
Water Park Sopot
On hot days, a visit to the Sopot Aquapark will be an ideal thing to do. It has several hundred meters of swimming pools, a toddler zone, paddling pools for children, slides, shallow and deep pools. The biggest attraction, but for older children, is the wild river.
Attraction Gdynia
Science Center “Experiment” Gdynia
It is best to book a whole day for a visit to the Experiment Science Center in Gdynia. The main exhibition consists of several thematic sections, and each section offers different puzzles, tasks and entertainment. We can dig up a dinosaur, learn interesting facts from the world of animals and plants, learn something new about physical phenomena, and even try out a driving simulator. There are plenty of attractions, there is no place for boredom.
Oceanarium
During a visit to the marine aquarium in Gdynia, we will have the opportunity to get acquainted with exotic fish and marine mammals from many regions of the world – from the Baltic Sea, around Africa and North America. The rarest specimens include the freshwater stingray, the bottom shark and the giant octopus. Children may also be interested in the longest snake in the world – the green anaconda and the world’s smallest short-snouted crocodile.
