You can choose from the very popular and extremely interesting Museum of the Second World War<\/strong>, the Amber Museum, the Main Town Hall, the National Maritime Museum or the European Solidarity Centre<\/strong>.\u00a0The Museum of the Second World War tells about the origins and consequences of the Second World War, its victims, heroes and perpetrators. The Core Exhibition serves as a history lesson to remember. It is worth noting that the main exhibition is recommended for children over 12 years of age, and it is best to reserve at least 3 hours for a visit to the Museum. A normal ticket costs PLN 25, a concessionary ticket costs PLN 18, and every Tuesday is a day of free admission.\u00a0The Amber Museum is located in the Old Town, in the Great Mill building. The building itself is extremely interesting – it is the largest mill in medieval Europe. the museum itself boasts a collection of over 1,000 exhibits, including amber with inclusions, an amber chamber or the largest lump of amber in the world (Guinness Record!). To watch is mi.im. The Great Red Hall with beautifully decorated ceilings, while a 37-bell carillon was installed in the Town Hall tower. The price of a regular ticket is PLN 12, and a discount ticket is PLN 6.<\/p>\n The National Maritime Museum consists of several smaller branches, including Granaries on O\u0142owianka, So\u0142dek, Maritime Culture Center and Crane.<\/strong> The exhibits of Granaries on O\u0142owianka include models of ships andtreasures from sea expeditions and the equipment of the entire Swedish warship “Solen”, which sank in the waters of the Gulf of Gda\u0144sk in the Battle of Oliwa in 1627. So\u0142dek, on the other hand, is the first seagoing vessel that was built in the Gda\u0144sk Shipyard after World War II. Virtually all rooms can be visited, but on rainy days you should be especially careful when walking on the deck. The Crane, on the other hand, presents an exhibition about the life of the port city from the 16th to the 18th century.<\/p>\n The European Solidarity Center is located next to Plac Trzech Krzy\u017cy and a 15-minute walk from the Museum of the Second World War<\/strong>. ECS presents the history of Solidarity, among the most important exhibits are the Boards with Postulates, the gantry on which Anna Walentynowicz worked and Ludwik Piernicki’s shot-through jacket. Visiting the main exhibition takes about 2 hours. A normal ticket costs PLN 30, and a reduced ticket costs PLN 25 – the price of the ticket includes an audioguide.<\/p>\n Another interesting idea for art lovers is a visit to an art gallery.<\/strong>\u00a0The \u0141a\u017ania Center for Contemporary Art is a must-see on the map of Gda\u0144sk for enthusiasts of contemporary art. In 2012, \u0141a\u017ania was on the list of the 400 most interesting places presenting contemporary art in the world according to the New York Museum of Contemporary Art. The gallery is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 12 noon or from 2 to 8 pm, while admission to the \u0141a\u017ania 1 branch costs PLN 1 , and to the \u0141a\u017ania 2 branch is free of charge.\u00a0In the Great Armoury, located in the Main City, you can see the works of graduates of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gda\u0144sk free of charge<\/strong>.\u00a0Within the Main and Old Town there are also three branches of the Gda\u0144sk City Gallery, which present the works of local artists.
